The New Forest Remembers WWI Exhibition
Special Exhibition: The New Forest Remembers WWI
Saturday 6 January 2016 to Sunday 1 May 2016
Open from 10am daily (last entry 30 minutes before closing)
Little survives today of the industries, camps, hospitals and training areas to remind us of the role the New Forest played during the Great War of 1914 to 1918 and the impact it had on local residents. In collaboration with community groups this exhibition brings together images, documents and personal accounts of life in the New Forest during WWI and shows the ongoing work by local groups to keep these memories alive.
The exhibition runs from 6 February to 1 May, after which the panels will tour other New Forest venues
