Walks and Talks

New Forest in a Nutshell!

There is so much that makes the New Forest a special place to visit.

To help you understand and enjoy this wonderful area we offer a variety of dates throughout the year when you can join us on a guided walk from the New Forest Centre.

  • On a TUESDAY you can join a walk to see the oldest still functioning court in the land, where the ancient Court of Verderers meets in the historic Queen's House.  We also visit the grave of Alice Hargreaves when you can hear about how she was Lewis Carroll's inspiration for Alice in Wonderland.
  • On a THURSDAY we guide you through stunning scenery out onto the Open Forest to hear all about the history and traditions of this unique area.

PLUS

Come along to an Evening Talk and/or a linked Saturday Walk

For 2012 we offer an exciting programme of WEDNESDAY EVENING TALKS throughout the year covering a wide variety of Forest related topics.  Two of our talks also have a linked guided walk on a Saturday.
