The Enigmatic Woodcock
An illustrated talk by Dr. Manuel Hinge
The woodcock is a well camouflaged and highly secretive bird of the New Forest and its presence is only known at dusk, flying in courtship display over the canopy.
Dr Manuel Hinge introduces us to the work of the New Forest Woodcock Group and fellow woodcock workers across Europe who go in search of information and understanding of this enigmatic bird.
