Discover the New Forest
The sessions below are planned as half day sessions which can either be run on their own or you can combine two of them and visit us for a whole day. All these sessions include entry into the Museum.
Please note: all our sessions are based on a max number of 30 adults. If you wish to bring more we can accommodate you but may need to run separate sessions. Please contact us to find out more.
- Verderers Court – visit the Verderers Court and learn about the importance of the Court throughout history and how its role has evolved to its present format. Role play a court session where you make the decisions that would affect how the New Forest is run.
- Nature of the New Forest – handle some of the Museum's nature artefacts and discover what lives in the New Forest area. A chance to ask questions about the New Forest's amazing natural history.
- Commoners Smallholding - a chance to visit a working smallholding and find out a bit more about life as a commoner both in the past and today.
