Special Exhibition: Maps - The New Forest Unfolded Buckler's Hard map

21 January to 15 April, open daily 10am - 3.30pm until 29 March then 10am - 4.30pm. Free entry.

Discover the biography of the New Forest and its people through maps chosen from the Christopher Tower Reference Library. These maps of large and small scale, illuminate not only the landscape but the individuals and institutions that shaped the Forest as it is today.

February Half Term Discovery DaysCaraft Activities

Looking for some fun half term activities? Then pop along to our family-friendly Discovery Days and take part in some Forest-themed crafts. Entry to the Museum is free (donation for craft activities) and there's no need to book - just drop in between 10am and 3pm.

Come along to our reference library open day and take the opportunity to study a selection of rare and unique maps from our collections.

Run in conjunction with our current exhibition, Maps - The New Forest Unfolded, there will also be supporting materials on show, such as books and photographs, providing context to the maps and the stories behind their creation.

Entry is free and there is no need to book - just drop in! Our staff and volunteers will be on hand to help with any questions.
